an introduction to the little big world of MMM...
The idea of Micro Macro Monde (MMM) is to give creative professionals and students of really any kind of discipline a “free thinking platform” where anything is possible.
At MMM we develop and run courses, workshops, events etc. about topics that “bothers” and makes sense to work with, that are fun and fantastic – mindful and meditative – creative and cool and obviously intelligent and inspiring.
All activities are made in such ways that there are “red-threads” everywhere – like puzzles in life. This gives you a possibility of over the long run to make a kind of program that you can follow for days, weeks, months, years or your entire life if you want. You can in other words come and live, work and help make a difference not only by doing what you like, but also by being part of building a kind of new (nomad) community where learning by doing is one of the real important aspects.
MMM activities all help you to get everything put into the BIGGER perspective…it could be about new ways of building what could be called eco village communities where you are not stuck forever and where new appropriate technology is integrated parts of life – live in micro houses however with comfort you have hardly experienced before and yet are these houses and buildings entirely self-sustaining. Micro Macro Monde is about redefining what modern life is – in all (sustainable) ways.
MMM is part of a bigger vision buidling MMM centers globally – platforms which really use any means to help us all dream and build sustainable futures.
BOP solutions
All projects developed no matter what it is being developed in an MMM framework will not only consider but also work together with people and companies engaged in developing radical innovative sustainable solutions to the biggest market in the world (and the biggest threat to ressourse depletion if not developed in sustainable ways) – the BOP-market (Bottom Of the Pyramid).
Crossdisciplinary forum
All MMM projects will to as far an extend possible always be cross diciplinary. The world needs radical sustainable solutions – innovative too in order to really be able to come up with tangible solutions to the challenges humanity is facing. Cross diciplinary and multinational action will be proposed as a way of also coming up with truly unique and innovative concepts.
Hands-on approach
MMM is a hand-on place – you learn by doing as far as its possible. Its obviously not possible to do what you can do in university labs but you can come here and get an understanding of the basics. The first MMM centre is based 1,5 hours from Paris – by car. You can chose to walk, maybe a bit extreme but not impossible. At the MMM centre you will be able to experience how its also possible to live – in a much closer contact with nature. You will in certain courses and camps be able to also build actual real size models or even prototypes it all depends on what it is.
Material eldorado
Gradually we will build up storage of numerous materials which can be used for experimentation in various ways in relation to art, design and architecture projects. Initially the first years there will be a lot recycled and reused materials to utilize. MMM is a NO-waste place which means that everything that comes into the centre either needs to be made into a product, recycled in some way or taken back to where it came from. The intention is not to run a fanatic recycling program but in pragmatic ways try to demonstrate that waste does not exist – everything is a ressource no matter what it is – even your own left-overs.
